Permits for development and improvement.
As required by your Lynn Ranch CC&Rs, an approved permit from LRPOA is needed before you begin any on-site construction work or lot size adjustment. It is important that you and your architect are familiar with your CC&Rs prior to drafting your plans.
A Ventura County Building permit does not release you from the requirement of holding an approved LRPOA permit prior to beginning construction on your property.
Step 1:
Find your information by address here for the following:
Lot #, Lynn Ranch Zone #, Tract #, Lot Setbacks (front, side, side street, and rear)
Step 2:
Review your CC&R’s to ensure your plans are consistent with your property requirements. Find CC&R’s here
Step 3:
Determine what type of permit you need below and follow through with permit purchase to start the process!
Step 4:
Make sure to submit (2) sets of plans for permits that require plans. This can be done via email, mailed (P.O. Box 1525 Thousand Oaks, CA 91358), or dropped off at the next LRPOA meeting!
What type of permit do you need?
Minimal.
Does not change the square footage of living space. Facade changes, fences, patios, window changes, roofs, pools, decks, and similar small jobs.
Only plans are needed if a county building permit is required.
If Ventura County building permit is required for your project, don’t forget to submit plans!
